This page is the public record. Every substantive correction made to this site is listed below, with what was wrong, what it says now, and when it changed. Nothing is quietly deleted.
What counts as a correction
A correction is a change to something that was factually wrong: a misread figure, a misattributed source, a treatment described as recommended when the guideline says otherwise. Corrections are made in the article itself, the update date changes, and where the substance of a claim changed, a note on that page says so. They are also logged here.
An update is different: new evidence published, a guideline revised, a link that moved. Updates change the date on the article but are not corrections and are not logged here, because nothing was wrong when it was written.
The distinction matters. A site that calls every edit an “update” never has to admit anything.
The record
13 September 2026 — Funding disclosure
What was wrong: the site’s funding page stated that some links were affiliate links, that commissions might be earned on purchases, and that advertising might be displayed. None of that was true. It was boilerplate carried over from the site build and never corrected to match what was actually published.
What it says now: nothing on this site is monetised. There are no affiliate links, no advertising and nothing for sale. This was verified by checking all 369 outbound links across all 69 articles; every one is a citation to a study, guideline or regulator. The funding page and the “How I make money” section of the editorial standards were both rewritten.
Why it mattered: a false statement on a disclosure page is worse than no disclosure page. It also contradicted the line printed under every article on this site — that no product is sold here and no link is paid — which was the accurate one.
Reporting an error
Email the address on the contact page. Quote the sentence and, if you have one, the source you think is right. I don’t need you to be polite about it.
If the error is mine, it gets fixed and logged here. If I think the claim is defensible, I’ll tell you why rather than ignore you. If the error is in a study or a guideline I cited, I’ll say so on the page and, where it is worth doing, write to whoever published it.
