Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may be paid a commission. It costs you nothing extra.
That’s the disclosure the Federal Trade Commission requires, and it’s the honest description of how this site is funded. The rest of this page is the detail.
How it works
We participate in affiliate programs run by health and telehealth companies. When an article links to a treatment or service, that link may carry a tracking code. If you go on to purchase, the company pays us a commission — typically a one-time payment for a new customer, not a share of what you spend on an ongoing basis.
We may also display advertising. Ads are sold by ad networks, not by us; we don’t choose the individual advertisers and their appearance here isn’t an endorsement.
What it doesn’t buy
No company pays for coverage. We decide what to write about based on what people are searching for and what we can source properly.
No company sees an article before it publishes. No advertiser or affiliate partner reviews, approves, or edits our content.
No conclusion is for sale. Our editorial standards commit us to publishing findings that are inconvenient for advertisers, and we do. Our article on fertility supplements reports a 2,370-man NIH trial that found no benefit and one signal of harm — in a category we could otherwise earn commission promoting. That’s the standard.
If those two things ever come into conflict, the article wins. A site that shades its conclusions toward its revenue is worthless to the reader, and readers notice faster than publishers think.
Where you’ll see the disclosure
At the top of any article containing affiliate links, near the links themselves — not buried in a footer. The FTC requires disclosure to be clear and conspicuous, and burying it defeats the purpose.
We don’t sell a product
There is no house supplement, no branded pill, no private-label anything. Despite the domain name, this site has never sold a product and doesn’t intend to. If that ever changes it will be disclosed prominently and obviously.
